So how is everybody doing?

Just wanted to say hi to everybody from the Martin clan in Buffalo. Well except for my mother as she’s still in Mass until about 8PM tonight. I’m working very hard to get back to Mass Full time. Hopefully if my business dealings go well at my August meeting in FL we will be back in Mass full time. Sucks being so far away and I look forward to showing off my kids. They are like me but smart:) Plan right now is for all of us to come back to mass in June for Carissa’s graduation. Then Maria and I are going to some business meetings in FL in August. http://www.diplomatresort.com/ is where we will be staying at for 4 days. very nice place and the company is even paying for Maria and I’s airfare so they are interested in me. Soon after that we will be back in Mass and hopefully have a big family get together. Well now you know why the updates have been few and far between here on the site i’ve been very busy. But i’ll be having lots more updates and see you guys in about a month or so hopefully.

1814: Allies capture Paris

European forces allied against Napoleonic France march triumphantly into Paris, formally ending a decade of French domination on the continent. Napoleon, one of the greatest military strategists in history, seized control of the French state in 1800, and in 1804 was crowned emperor. By 1807, he controlled an empire that stretched across Europe. In 1812, however, he began to encounter the first significant defeats of his military career, suffering through a disastrous invasion of Russia, losing Spain to the Duke of Wellington, and enduring total defeat against an allied force in 1814. Exiled to the island of Elba, he escaped to France in early 1815 and raised a new Grand Army that enjoyed temporary success before its crushing defeat at Waterloo. He was then exiled to the island of St. Helena, where he died six years later.

Easter Dinner 2008

Here is a picture of all of us sitting down for dinner. Also here is a pic the very nice Easter Dinner that Maria made for Us. Ham that was moist, Fresh Buns, Green Beans, and some of the best potato salad i’ve ever had.

Not to mention the great Dessert of pineapple upside down cake.

Just wanted to hop on quick and say Happy Easter from the Buffalo wing of the Martin clan. The Easter Bunny made a little visit to us last night and i’ll have pics and vids up later today.
